The new members, and their respective sub-committees are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>John Cappock \u2013 Audit Committee<\/li>\n<li>Jaya Chakrabarti \u2013 People Committee<\/li>\n<li>Ellen Donovan \u2013 Quality and Performance Committee and Remuneration Committee<\/li>\n<li>Alison Moon \u2013 Primary Care Committee<\/li>\n<li>Professor Steve West \u2013 Finance Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The appointees will serve the ICB \u2013 which is due to be established on 1 July 2022 \u2013 and will help shape the long-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties, and objectives of NHS BNSSG ICB, and for the stewardship of public money. These appointments are the result of a competitive process.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the appointments, chair-designate of the ICB, Jeff Farrar, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI am delighted with the high-quality of the candidates and the appointments to the board. With these new members, we will have a huge diversity of experience and breath of perspective which will be essential to the future operations of the ICS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe appointees will bring independent oversight and constructive challenge to the priorities, plans and performance of the ICB executive team, and promote open and transparent decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur independent non-executive members will have a key role in making sure the voice and needs of patients and communities are central to ICB discussions and decisions, so that services are inclusive and accessible to the whole population and deliver the best possible health outcomes for all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have big ambitions as Healthier Together \u2013 to improve people\u2019s health and happiness, provide services that fit in with people\u2019s lives and tackle the inequalities some groups face. I am confident our emerging board will be able to tackle these challenges, and I look forward to working with the new team.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Steve, Ellen, and Jaya will start their tenure as designates on 1 April 2022.
