An online careers event for nurses was a great success with colleagues from across health and care sharing their passion and real-life stories of the profession.

Nurse Sarah who is Deputy Head of Nursing, NMSK, at North Bristol NHS Trust shared a truly heart-warming story of a patient she helped resuscitate who she then met some time later, by co-incidence, in a restaurant where he was celebrating his birthday. Watch the full video below.

We will soon post more first-hand videos to this page including a student nurse talking about his experience of studying for a nursing degree, and a care nurse talking about her role improving the life experience of patients.

If you would like to find out more about a career in health and care in the Bristol area, please sign up for our next online careers session on Tuesday 18 August 10am, when we will be showcasing the wide variety of roles available in local health and care organisations with speakers from hospitals, care homes, GP surgeries, the apprenticeship service, and community care.

This event is not age limited but will particularly benefit 16 to 24 year olds within the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire region.
