This document has been prepared by Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group. It explains why we need to change how we organise and provide health care across primary and community services as well as at Weston General Hospital. It sets out four key challenges that we need to address as a priority for Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding area – a changing population and changing needs; variation in the quality of and access to primary (GP) and community services; staffing vacancies and low patient numbers for some services at Weston Hospital; and the need to get the best value from every pound we spend.
