Thornbury Health Centre development

NHS Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB and South Gloucestershire Council are working in partnership to develop a brand-new health centre in Thornbury, located on the former Thornbury Hospital site.

The project will provide a new home for both Severn View Family Practice and Streamside Surgery, as well as consulting rooms for community-based health services delivered by Sirona care & health.

The development is subject to planning approval, as well as the approval of the overall business case for the project.

If approved, £14.4 million in funding will be provided from the Department of Health and Social Care to deliver a brand-new health centre.

An information session was held at St Mary’s Hall in Thornbury on Thursday 29 August where the plans were on display and staff were be available to detail information about the development and answer questions about how the buildings would operate.

There is still time to share your views if you weren’t able to attend. A dedicated engagement website has been created to detail the plans and give you the chance to share your views. This will remain open until 4 September.
