<p>A programme team has been set up to deliver the Intelligence Centre, including a programme board. The programme has strong clinical and executive leadership, as well as Information Governance and data leads. Across our region, this data can be used to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Provide your individual care. <\/strong>To provide the best possible care, health and social care professionals need to have access to the most up to date information about you. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/your-health\/connecting-care\/\">Connecting Care<\/a> programme is a digital care record system for sharing information in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/your-health\/connecting-care\/\">You can find out more about it on our Connecting Care page<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">.\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">Help plan and manage health and care services in our area. <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">Every time someone visits their GP, hospital, or other health and care service, they share information. We can use this de-identified information to improve effectiveness, plan better, improve performance and efficiency and to help us easily see what works and what doesn\u2019t. <\/span>This operational and management data will be managed by our <a style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/healthier-together-intelligence-centre\/\">Healthier Together Intelligence Centre<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\"> for Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">Carry out research to find new treatment, or to develop services. <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">The third way we will use your data is for research to help improve healthcare in the future, in a secure and ethical way. <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.southwestsde.nhs.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The South West Secure Data Environment (SDE)<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\"> is an innovative and efficient approach to conducting research of people\u2019s health and care records, while maximising privacy and security.
