Pracownicy lokalnej s\u0142u\u017cby zdrowia (NHS) otrzymali nagrod\u0119 krajow\u0105 za swoj\u0105 prac\u0119 na rzecz zwi\u0119kszania \u015bwiadomo\u015bci i zrozumienia potrzeb os\u00f3b autystycznych i os\u00f3b z niepe\u0142nosprawno\u015bci\u0105 intelektualn\u0105. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\nEmma Murray, Adam Baker and Daniel John, from the local NHS <\/span>Integrated Care Board (ICB), deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to health and social care staff throughout Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\nThey were awarded the inaugural Oliver McGowan Trainer Award at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards ceremony in Birmingham on 21 June. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\nThe training programme is named after Oliver McGowan, a young man from Bristol, whose tragic death highlighted the need for health and social care staff to have better skills, knowledge and understanding of the needs of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\nThe three trainers are part of a team that has delivered the training to more than 3,300 staff in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire since the local programme was introduced in October 2023. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\nShane Devlin, dyrektor naczelny NHS Bristol, North Somerset i South Gloucestershire ICB, powiedzia\u0142: <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\u201cWe are incredibly proud of Emma, Adam and Daniel for achieving this award.
