   <p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Intelligence Centre is a new digital capability being developed by\u00a0NHS\u00a0Bristol, North\u00a0Somerset\u00a0and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board to bring together health and care data, analytics, and planning tools in one secure, easy-to-use environment.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It builds on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/digitaltechnology\/nhs-federated-data-platform\/\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS Federated Data Platform programme<\/a> led by NHS England<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and combines this national infrastructure with\u00a0additional\u00a0tools for workflow, modelling, and analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Why do we need\u00a0an Intelligence Centre?\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Each time someone\u00a0comes into contact with\u00a0our healthcare system \u2013 whether\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0with their GP, a hospital, or a community service \u2013 information is recorded. But it is often stored in siloed IT systems and inconsistent formats.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We want to create a tool that\u00a0provides\u00a0a bird\u2019s eye view of how services are used, what health needs there are, and a way of managing demand and capacity across our area.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This will help us to understand our citizens\u2019 health and wellbeing, to\u00a0identify\u00a0communities where our services are not meeting their needs, to see where people\u2019s health is better or worse than expected, and test new models of care.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
