NHS is offering a seasonal COVID-19 vaccination to people at highest risk from a COVID infection. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">all adults aged 75 years and over<\/span><\/li>\n<li>residents in a care home for older adults<\/li>\n<li>persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the COVID-19 chapter of the <a style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/covid-19-the-green-book-chapter-14a\" rel=\"noopener\">Green Book<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Household contacts of people with a weakened immune system are not eligible. People in other clinical risk groups who do not fall into the above categories are also not eligible.<\/p>\n<p>For the spring 2026 vaccine, The\u00a0Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is prioritising groups most vulnerable to serious outcomes from COVID-19 including those aged 75 or over, living in older adult care homes, and those who are immunosuppressed and eligible. You may be contacted by your GP surgery and invited to book an appointment. If you are eligible, other alternatives include attending a walk-in vaccination site, or you could get vaccinated at another local service such as a community pharmacy, or at your care home (if you live in a care home).<\/p>\n<h2>Walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics<\/h2>\n<p>A series of walk-in vaccination clinics are available for the spring 2026 campaign. <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/ps\/vaccination\/covid-vaccination\/walk-in-covid-vaccination-clinics\/\">Details of these can be found here on our website<\/a> and there is also an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/nhs-services\/vaccination-and-booking-services\/find-a-walk-in-covid-19-vaccination-site\/\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS walk-in finder<\/a> with further information.<\/p>\n<h3>Important information<\/h3>\n<p>You do not have to be registered with a GP, have an NHS number or be documented in order to have your vaccination, if you are eligible. If you are in this position, please attend a walk-in clinic or contact a GP to book your vaccination, explaining your situation.<\/p>\n<p>When you come for your vaccination, please bring your NHS number if you know it, and remember to eat and drink before your appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Please do not come for your vaccination if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have had a positive lateral flow test. If you or a family member are housebound and eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination and you have not heard from your GP, please contact your surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that your GP may not contact their housebound patients straight away, as they have a lot of people to vaccinate.<\/p>\n<p>If you are housebound, have spoken with your GP and have not been able to book a vaccination, please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bnssg.massvaccination@nhs.net\"><strong>bnssg.massvaccination@nhs.net<\/strong><\/a> with your name, GP surgery, and the reason for not being able to book your vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not registered with your GP as housebound but you feel you should be, please contact your surgery so they can update their records.
