The VCSE Alliance is also the host of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/voluntary-community-and-social-enterprise-vcse\/vcse-brokerage-framework\/\">VCSE Brokerage Framework<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We host regular free events for all charities, community groups, and social enterprises, sharing opportunities to collaborate with our local health and care system.<\/p>\n<p>The establishment of the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance is funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/integrated-care-board\/\">NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB<\/a>) during 2023\/24 and 2024\/25. VCSE organisations have common features as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beneficial and accountable to the community: They have social objectives to benefit the community and are accountable to the community.\u202f\u202fFormal: They have a formal and recognisable structure described in a constitution or a formal set of rules. organisations who advocate for the VCSE Alliance across the Integrated Care System (ICS).<\/p>\n<p>This role allows individuals to share their expertise with the ICS and contribute to improving community outcomes.<\/p>\n<h4>What do Ambassadors do?<\/h4>\n<p>There are various ways that Ambassadors can contribute to the work of the VCSE Alliance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Being a VCSE Alliance Ambassador at a health and social care system board or network meeting<\/li>\n<li>Joining a VCSE Alliance working group<\/li>\n<li>Attending a one-off event on behalf of the VCSE Alliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The VCSE Alliance team regularly share opportunities with our group of Ambassadors to utilise the knowledge and experience of our diverse range of VCSE impacts<\/h4>\n<p>VCSE Alliance Ambassadors can make a difference by working in collaboration with colleagues across the Integrated Care System.<br \/>\nThe Ambassador programme, launched in July 2024, is already starting to see the impact of this collaborative working. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the creation of grants for VCSE sector organisations to support medical and non-medical interventions for women\u2019s health<\/li>\n<li>the prioritisation of prevention within the Integrated Care System and the role of the VCSE sector in achieving this<\/li>\n<li>facilitated connections to communities to inform the shaping of key ICS strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Time commitment<\/h4>\n<p>We recognise that VCSE organisations have varying capacity to commit to additional work. VCSE Alliance Ambassadors can put themselves forward for roles on ICS steering groups or boards, and will share information about opportunities in advance, including the frequency and length of meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassadors can also contribute during VCSE Alliance events, which are held every two months for two hours. The last hour of our VCSE Alliance events is a space for Ambassadors to give their input on VCSE Alliance strategies and priorities.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re working on creating more ways for Ambassadors to contribute to collaborative working outside of these opportunities.<\/p>\n<h4>Participation fund<\/h4>\n<p>VCSE Alliance Ambassadors are reimbursed for their time in line with the VCSE Alliance participation fund.<\/p>\n<p>The participation fund is a mechanism to remunerate organisations for participation in, and on behalf of, the VCSE Alliance. It exists to make our &#8216;distributed leadership model&#8217; a reality, and to ensure we have diverse and inclusive participation from across the sector in the VCSE Alliance and our associated activities.<\/p>\n<p>It supports the VCSE sector to participate in ICS-related activities for which they aren&#8217;t directly funded to do.<\/p>\n<h4>How to become an ambassador<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to join the VCSE Alliance and become an Ambassador, you can indicate your interest in becoming an Ambassador as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/voluntary-community-and-social-enterprise-vcse\/vcse-alliance\/application-form\/\">VCSE Alliance sign-up form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If your organisation has already signed up to the VCSE Alliance, please email <a href=\"mailto:contact@bnssgvcsealliance.org\">contact@bnssgvcsealliance.org<\/a> to let us know if you\u2019d like to become an Ambassador.<\/p>\n<h4>The induction process<\/h4>\n<p>Ambassadors attend an online induction session with the VCSE Alliance team before taking on any roles within ICS strategic spaces.
