Share your views on the draft Mental Health Strategy<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Helping more people to manage their mental health through self-care, is one of the key priorities set out in the draft Mental Health Strategy<\/a> prepared by health and care partners in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n

Partners are now encouraging local people, staff and other stakeholders to take part in a short survey<\/a> to provide their feedback on the draft Strategy. The Strategy documents and link to the survey are available on the draft Mental Health Strategy page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u2018All-Age Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy\u2019 has been developed with input from a wide range of local people, including those with lived experience. The strategy sets out a vision for the future of mental health in the area as well as the work which will help deliver that vision.<\/p>\n

The Strategy takes an all-age life course approach recognising that good mental health is an underpinning principle of wellbeing which is embedded in family and community life.<\/p>\n

Dominic Hardisty, Chief Executive at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP), said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have worked closely with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire colleagues on the development of this strategy. There is clear alignment with AWP\u2019s own five-year plan to improve mental health, learning disability and autism services across the south west which we launched earlier this year.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAs key local partners we are fully committed to the vision and priorities described in this strategy, and to working together to provide high quality mental health services for people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The survey<\/a> will run for eight weeks and close on Friday 1 December 2023. The draft Mental Health Strategy will then be finalised and presented to Health and Wellbeing Boards and the Integrated Partnership Board for final sign off in early 2024.<\/p>\n
