Projelerimiz

We deliver a number of projects to improve health, wellbeing and access to care in our communities. Some of these are listed below.

Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) Service

The aim of this project is to improve mental health and school attendance for children and young people, particularly in the most deprived areas of North and West Bristol.

The project supports children at risk of avoiding school due to mental health challenges, especially during the Year 6 to Year 7 transition.

Families of children and young people are provided with tailored support and the opportunity to take part in group wellbeing activities.

Supporting people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

We’re launching our new COPD programme designed to help local people recently diagnosed with COPD, and their families, to live healthier, more confident lives.

Our goal is to improve wellbeing and reduce hospital admissions by empowering people to manage their condition and connecting them with the right support in their community.

By tackling inequalities in respiratory health, we aim to make a real difference.

The programme will offer:

  • A COPD Passport – a personalised guide to managing COPD
  • Multi-agency information sessions – practical advice from healthcare professionals and community partners
  • Peer support groups – opportunities to share experiences and learn from others.

The programme is expected to launch in early 2026, bringing together local expertise and community resources to support better respiratory health.

Healthy Ageing Research Project

Our Healthy Ageing Research Programme (HARP) is designed to support people aged 50–70, who have one or two long-term health conditions and may be experiencing anxiety or depression. Most of whom will live in the outer areas of North and West Bristol.

Our aim is to improve mental and physical wellbeing by helping people manage their health more confidently and reduce the impact of conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety, diabetes and respiratory illness.

To achieve this, we will be working closely with local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to deliver community-based wellbeing activities and improve how services connect. This will include strengthening links between general practice, other health providers and community activities that can support or improve wellbeing and health.

The programme is expected to launch in early 2026.
