Template: template-text - Matched: _only --><section class=\"w-full mx-auto max-w-content pt-3 sm:pt-6 pb-12 sm:pb-24\">\r\n  <div class=\"entry-content w-full !px-0 max-w-small\">\r\n        <h1>Our equality objectives<\/h1>\n<p>Our equality objectives, approved by the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB Board in March 2025, set out how we will work to reduce health inequalities, improve equity and create a more inclusive organisation.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives focus on four priority areas: maternity care, ethnicity data recording, workforce equality and cardiovascular disease.\u00a0 Together, they will help us identify and address inequalities in health and care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n<h2>Workforce<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To make recruitment practice more equitable, making year-on-year improvements in hiring outcomes for those from racialised communities as compared to 2023\/24 disparity data.<\/li>\n<li>A year-on-year reduction in the disparity for colleagues from racialised communities and those with disabilities in relation to bullying, harassment and discrimination from managers and colleagues as reported in staff survey data in comparison to 2024 data.<\/li>\n<li>To increase the proportion of staff from racialised communities in Band 8a or above to 12% by April 2028.<\/li>\n<li>To continue to reduce the gender pay gap year-on-year, ensuring that the proportion of females within the upper quartile is comparable to the overall organisation composition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Cardiovascular disease<\/h2>\n<p>Because cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one of the largest contributors to health inequalities.
