We\u2019ve engaged with people in a variety of ways \u2013 you can click on the links below to read more about activity to date.<\/p>\n<p>Parent carers are also directly involved in the leadership of the programme. The three local Parent Carer Forums for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolparentcarers.org.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Bristol<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nspcwt.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\">North Somerset<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sgpc.org.uk\/\" rel=\"noopener\">South Gloucestershire<\/a> jointly lead the programme with the local NHS Integrated Care Board. Together, we are working closely with a wide range of programme partners including health, care and education services, Healthwatch and local charities such as Barnardo\u2019s.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\r\n  <\/section><\/div><!-- .assembler_text-module.assembler_module.assembler_text-module_2.assembler_module_2..transparent --><div class=\"assembler_drop-down-module assembler_module assembler_drop-down-module_3 assembler_module_3  transparent\"><a tabindex=\"-1\" title=\"Section titled module-3\" id=\"module-3\" href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/10171\/#module-3\" class=\"anchor\"><span class=\"hidden\">Section titled module-3<\/span><\/a><!-- Template found for drop-down-module - Template: template-dropdowns - Matched: _only --><section class=\"max-w-content pt-3 sm:pt-6 pb-0 sm:pb-0 mx-auto\">\n\n  <h3 class=\"bg-dropdown-btn hover:underline focus:underline expanded\">\n    Listening events, surveys and insight    <i class=\"pl-2 rotate-90 fak fa-right-arrow [.expanded_&]:rotate-180 [.expanded_&]:align-[-.125em] align-baseline text-[0.86em]\"><\/i>\n  <\/h3>\n\n  <section class=\"w-full mx-auto bg-drop-down-content\">\n  <div class=\"entry-content w-full !px-0 max-w-small\">\n    <p>The programme\u2019s work is informed by insight from a wide range of organisations and sources.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We joined each of the local Parent Carer Forums in our area for a comprehensive \u2018listening event\u2019 to gain insight into parent carers&#8217; challenges and experiences and identify ways we could improve the current autism and ADHD pathways<\/li>\n<li>We met with around 20 local organisations involved with the care of children and young people, to understand their priorities for support and service development.<\/li>\n<li>We worked with Barnardo\u2019s Autism Group in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, as well as Bristol Autism Support, to gather insight from local families and children and young people.<\/li>\n<li>We reviewed existing published insight into the challenges local parent carers, children and young people face<\/li>\n<li>We gathered views from local families who had undergone an assessment for a neurodiverse need, as well as those awaiting an assessment, to understand their experiences and expectations of assessments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n  <\/div>\n  <\/section>\n\n<\/section>\n<\/div><!-- .assembler_drop-down-module.assembler_module.assembler_drop-down-module_3.assembler_module_3..transparent --><div class=\"assembler_drop-down-module assembler_module assembler_drop-down-module_4 assembler_module_4  transparent\"><a tabindex=\"-1\" title=\"Section titled module-4\" id=\"module-4\" href=\"https:\/\/bnssghealthiertogether.org.uk\/zh\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/10171\/#module-4\" class=\"anchor\"><span class=\"hidden\">Section titled module-4<\/span><\/a><!-- Template found for drop-down-module - Template: template-dropdowns - Matched: _only --><section class=\"max-w-content pt-3 sm:pt-6 pb-0 sm:pb-0 mx-auto\">\n\n  <h3 class=\"bg-dropdown-btn hover:underline focus:underline expanded\">\n    Discovery conference: November 2023    <i class=\"pl-2 rotate-90 fak fa-right-arrow [.expanded_&]:rotate-180 [.expanded_&]:align-[-.125em] align-baseline text-[0.86em]\"><\/i>\n  <\/h3>\n\n  <section class=\"w-full mx-auto bg-drop-down-content\">\n  <div class=\"entry-content w-full !px-0 max-w-small\">\n    <p>We held two large-scale conferences bringing together parent carers with health, education and care services, charities and other groups involved in the care of neurodivergent children and young people.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Discovery\u2019 conference in November 2023 explored how early needs are identified, and the impact on children and families when those needs are not met.
