GP practices will run their usual clinics, while some practices are offering drive-through clinics for people with mobility challenges. You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are aged 65 or over (including those who\u202fwill be 65 by\u202f31 March 2027)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are aged 18 to 64 and have certain long-term health conditions<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are pregnant<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">live in a care home<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer&#8217;s allowance<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">live with someone who has a weakened immune system<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are experiencing homelessness or staying in a homeless hostel or night shelter<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are aged 2 or 3 on 31 August 2026<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">attend primary or secondary school, from reception to year 11<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are aged 17 or over, attend a special educational needs (SEN) school and are also in a clinical risk group<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are aged from 6 months to under 18 and are in a clinical risk group<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Flu season usually peaks in December and January, so starting most adult vaccinations from October will help protect those most at risk during the colder months when viruses spread more easily indoors.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Who should have the COVID-19 vaccine<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for people most likely to get seriously ill from COVID-19.
