Definitions adopted by the ICB
NHS Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB has adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism and the UK Government’s non-statutory definition of anti-Muslim hostility.
International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism
“Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.”

UK Government non-statutory definition of anti-Muslim hostility
The UK Government’s definition states that anti-Muslim hostility includes criminal acts, prejudicial stereotyping and unlawful discrimination directed at Muslims or people perceived to be Muslim.
