 MMR vaccine information

Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) had almost disappeared in England because most people had been vaccinated. Now, not enough people have had the MMR vaccine so these dangerous illnesses are becoming more common.

Measles, in particular, is highly contagious and can cause serious, long-term side-effects.

This page contains local resources, links and information about the MMR vaccine.

Visit the NHS website for general information about the MMR vaccine and the diseases it protects against

It is never too late to have your MMR vaccine. So if you are not sure if you were vaccinated when you were a child or you didn’t have both doses of the vaccine, it is safe and recommended to be vaccinated again.

Contact your GP to book your catch-up MMR vaccination.
