Maternity services at UHBW continue to be rated as Good
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) maternity services have maintained a rating of Good, following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
The report has been published following an inspection in December 2023, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, and a first-time inspection at Ashcombe Birth Centre at Weston General Hospital.
Inspectors recognised a culture that places people’s care at the heart of the service, and the team’s work to reduce inequitable maternity outcomes for ethnic minority and disadvantaged groups.
UHBW are committed to continuing the development of their maternity services and addressing the necessary areas for improvement.
