VCFSE contributors – Increasing NHS App Usage

We are looking for Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) providers passionate about digital inclusion to join an exciting initiative to boost the use of the NHS App and promote digital inclusion in our communities.

We are seeking organisations to join our project board during the discovery phase and potentially continue into the implementation phase. We currently hold our project meeting weekly, for an hour, on a Wednesday morning. Your input will be invaluable in helping us understand how best to engage with communities and promote digital inclusion.

We are looking for VCFSE contributors who will act as a representative for the voluntary community sector and come to meetings ready to share ideas and opinions, ask questions and raise any challenges or concerns.

We can offer £20.00 p/h in which the representative will attend workshops with the One Care Project Manager to provide recommendations to support the project (up to 1 hour a week for the next 6 months).

To apply, please email grace.mander@onecare.org.uk by 12 September 2024.

Public Contributor – Strategic Health Inequalities, Prevention, and Population Health committee

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (ICS) is working together to tackle health inequalities – unfair and avoidable differences in health across and between communities – and take a more preventative approach to health and wellbeing.

We are looking for three public contributors to join the Strategic Health Inequalities, Prevention, and Population Health (SHIPPH) committee. This new group will oversee and support efforts to tackle health inequalities and embed preventative approaches across the Integrated Care System.

Our public contributors will act as a ‘critical friend’ and come to meetings ready to share ideas and opinions, ask questions and raise any challenges or concerns

Being a member of the committee will involve attending meetings that are:

  • every other month
  • two hours long
  • held in an accessible location (this may vary across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire)
  • attended by senior leaders from across our health and social care system, including Directors of Public Health and voluntary, community and social enterprise sector chief executives
  • chaired by Jeff Farrar, the NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board Chair

This role attracts a recognition fee of £20 per hour, plus travel expenses.
