Children’s flu vaccine

For most children, the flu vaccine is a nasal spray. It is quick and painless. An injectable flu vaccine is also available for children, if you prefer. Just ask when your child is invited to be vaccinated.

The following children will be offered a flu vaccination:

  • all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025
  • primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6)
  • secondary school aged children (from Year 7 to Year 11)
  • all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years

Sirona care & health provides school-aged vaccinations in our area. You can learn more about school flu vaccination in our area, including information in British Sign Language (BSL).
