Winter vaccine information

Both the flu and Covid-19 viruses are in circulation this winter. Vaccination provides the best possible protection against both illnesses for you, the people you care for and your loved ones.

If you are eligible for a free flu or Covid-19 vaccine, you have until 31 January 2024 to get your vaccinated. Since 15 December 2023, fewer vaccination clinics are available. Click here for a list of clinics in our area.

If you are eligible for both the Covid-19 and flu vaccine, we strongly encourage you to take up the offer of both vaccinations. It is safe to have both vaccines at the same appointment and there is no increase in side effects.

Your GP or local pharmacy should have been in touch to invite you for your vaccination. You can also self-declare if you are entiteld to a vaccine. Details of eligibility and list of local vaccination clinics can be found on the Get Your Flu or Covid-19 Vaccination page.
