The Transformation Hub Completes Innovate Healthier Together Development Programme

News update from the Innovate Healthier Together Programme.

One of the key objectives of Innovate Healthier Together is to develop our local innovation talent pool. With the support of colleagues from the West of England Academy we have curated a three-part accredited Innovate Healthier Together Development Programme.

In the autumn 2023, we were delighted to accept our first cohort – the Transformation Hub team of Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Over the course of this development programme, participants developed their skills in facilitation and quality improvement principles and were introduced to design thinking methodology, using real-world challenges currently faced by health and care services as examples to test their acquired knowledge and skills.

As we celebrate this accomplishment, we also look forward to the tangible impacts this training will have on our health and care services and are thrilled that these acquired skills are already being used in the real world:

“Since undertaking the Innovate Healthier Together Development Programme, I had the opportunity to put the skills and techniques we learnt into practice. I successfully held a Discovery conference with 85 delegates across all sectors within our system, by identifying the right facilitation tools and techniques to successfully achieve the desired outcomes. We have received great feedback from delegates about how the day was ran and how we built energy and passion into the room, through a robust planning approach which also gave me additional confidence on the day that we had structured the day in the best way.” – Daniel Knight, Design Lead, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB.
