Social care placements offer a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and compassion that sit at the heart of health and care. Working within care homes, supported living services and community settings, student nurses and student allied health professionals experience first-hand the difference they can make to people’s lives every day.

• Placements can help students to develop diverse skillsets including:
• Effective communication
• Managing chronic and complex health conditions and equipment
• Leading and managing services
• Coordinating care often with high acuity within multidisciplinary teams
• Leading with nursing professional practice and values across a system to support individuals at home and in communities.
